Guns have become the leading cause of death for American kids

Who said anything about hate? It’s much more pity that I feel, that a country can be held hostage by a minority of hard-core gun owners who don’t care how many people, including young children in school shootings, die because of guns, so long as they get to keep their arsenal of assault weapons.
Every other civilized country has sorted this out, it’s not exactly rocket science, but the good old US of A is stumped and keeps doing nothing about it. That’s just totally bizarre to me.

Every other civilized county had  hundreds of millions of guns among the citizenry and hundreds of mass shooting a year? I did not know that.

I don't hate the USA and I never said I did - why do you need to lie and make things up?  I just dislike the fact you consider your right to own a gun more important than a little kids right to life.

Lot of guns. Guns kill. Lots of gun killings. Bring number of guns down. Less gun killings. There, is that simple enough for you?

I did not say you hated the US, what I said was:

When people like you hate the US it gives me hope.

Again, do you have anything that support what you said? Clearly no one in your links has suggested the state mandate teachers carry guns.

He didn't claim that anyone suggested that the state mandate teachers carry guns.  He references "the call for school teachers to be armed.  You added the rest as a strawman.  In case you have forgotten, here is the exchange.  Your words start at "I do not believe..."

In theory, that sounds reasonable.  In reality ... well, it's not working in the USA

MY HOMETOWN area, and a few stats.

1960, buy a firearm anywhere, nobody cared if you carried one, as long as

not a felon, and you behaved yourself.

NOW, don't even think you can buy one in the city, and it's rare to

be issued a carry permit.  So less guns, less killing isn't a reality.

So you think, more people now, more killing ... NO, almost 25% less people now.

Info sources from linked

1960 ... 150 murders, no breakdown for firearms.

1984 ... breakdown % by firearms, buying & carry restricted.

1990 ... peaked @ 500 & 67.4%

2015 ... quit breakdown

2020 ... murders peaking again  ... nuff

It's crazy to arm the teachers - they should be arming the children!

You can throw all the stats at me that you want, but it works in all other countries: less guns = less gun deaths.

Unfortunately there will be people viewing this who do not understand that it is a "send up" and that the whole video is meant to reflect upon the stupidity of many in the gun lobby. God help America.

This video seems more to the point, not a send up AFAIK and might seriously alarm anyone wondering what kind of kids are being created in that country.

I found the video very alarming. As bad as I know California schools to be, even I would have thought they'd have better shooter training for the teachers.

We had fire-drills, air-raid drills and earthquake drills when I was in grade school, and bomb-drills when I was in college.

Given the people that run California schools I doubt it.

I think I'd give my kid a gun to take to school, if that's their idea of providing safety ...

????????????????????  ... and yea, that's a joke.

... home school ... not a joke.  It really can't be that hard to secure a building.  Not that a nutter wouldn't simply wait until class is dismissed for the day.
