I have an SCB Promprcard Mastercard which is supposed to be a debit card.  However, when I try to buy things online - e.g. airline tickets and other subscriptions it always seems to decline.  Starting to think it's not a true debit card like my UK debit card and hence retailers decline it.

Does anyone else have any issues with online payments using this or similar cards.  Starting to think I might need a Thai credit card.  I have a UK one but I want to use my Thai account as the transaftions are in THB.

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem. I went to my local SCB to complain. They put me on the phone with their head office in Bangkok, and I was told that they had started using new security software, and I had not asked for it to be enabled.  I informed them that I was unaware of any new security software as they had not informed me. They apologised, and enabled it while I was on the phone.

Goto Settings, Manage Account -

1st - See if your Debit card is listed!

2nd - If not, try add account  and see if you can add your Debit Card

else, visit branch as you said already ????

Need to be enabled for global/only payments usually. Bad idea to use overseas regardless as of also paying with another currency but that's another subject.

Thanks, went into the branch.  I was falsely under the impression that the clerk had previously added it for me.  All done, now just need to test it.

Many thanks
