LIV Golf is coming to Thailand and now everyone wants a ticket

A lot of people hate change.  But it comes anyway.
This new league has some interesting concepts IMO.

The shotgun start for one.
I think they'll be around as long as the gas prices stay high. (unlimited money and don't know what to do with it all)
I'll enjoy watching as long as it lasts.   The old style golf on TV was too boring.

Call me a dissenter. I enjoy watching golf, but would not pay even 30 baht to watch an event sponsored by the murderous Saudi terror state.

  • If the players are getting good pay out of a golfing circus, fine. They have every right to earn a crust. But let's not kid ourselves, OK? There are only four championships in the world that are

  • I turn the golf on when I cant sleep.

Yes, the US Open was really boring!

The US Open was the best one I can remember mainly because of the end with Fitzpatrick winning, but LIV London event was also enjoyable, shot gun start makes sense to level the field, it wasn't meant to be a major so you can't compare. Most PGA events aren't anything special

US open was indeed great and Fitzpatrick's shot out of the bunker on the 18th hole was special . I have played a shot gun start but some courses start with easier holes and then get tricky . So an advantage to tee off on hole 1 to warm up and get your eye in . I enjoy the standard start when watching the professionals and they are announced by the starter to the spectators . You can feel the tension . Anyway there are to many players in the PGA & DP events to have a shot gun start .

The headline is patently untrue. Many of us will do everything in our power to avoid supporting the heinous Saudi government on any level. Guys like MBS are a pox on humanity. And guys like Koepka and Mickelson have sold their souls for a fortune, and likely sacrificed their legacies in the process.

The sad truth, is that most of guys who have been willing to sell out, had little chance of winning on the PGA tour, and guys like Johnson had their better days behind them.

The problem with a normal 1st tee start is the weather, which we will see in the Open soon, weather can be completely different morning to afternoon so if you get lucky you can win the Open, i think Oosthuizen was one, with a shotgun it evens out the weather luck

Personally I think with the current format LIV is going to see the same few players winning each of the events and that will get boring very quickly. Who do you think out of the top ten has any chance of winning?

Not that it matters too much to the players with what - 24 over picking up 100K plus?

Too many players in the Open for a shot gun start but maybe after the cut on the third day

All of them, I'm sure they're all practicing hard for the $4m+ prize, Charl Schwartzel wasn't expected to win
