Police and rescue officials in Klaeng, Rayong, central eastern Thailand, were called yesterday after a man doing a survey ahead of a land purchase made a gruesome discovery in a deserted terrace of rooms surrounded by weeds.

In the main room Chalee Phairotsornkij, 60, found a rotting skull.

In the toilet by the bowl he found a rotting and headless corpse.

Hanging from the room of the lavatory was a nylon cord.

All the evidence was gathered by Pol Capt Sommai Wanthong of the Klaeng police, reported Siam Rath. The body was taken to Klaeng Hospital for an autopsy.

Sommai said that he had contacted the local phu yai baan who had no report of a missing person in the Ban Nong Sai area.

He appealed to relatives of the deceased to come forward.

Naew Na went for a more sensational headline/caption on their story:

"Buying land gets a corpse too - 'Uncle' hits the jackpot with a skull in the middle of the room".

Clear case of suicide. Weed was growing outside. Now people have been so indoctrinated with ganja fever, so they think all is good for smoking. The person just smoke too much and got no effect. After got angry and decapitated himself/herself.

Hung himself but as the flesh on the neck rotted the weight of the body caused the head to become detached so the body and the head fell to the floor seperately

Then rolled out of the toilet, turned right and into the living area.

I can envisage that clearly.......
