Hi, looking to build a house in Nakhon Sawan. Can anyone recommend companies? Has anyone heard of Arun Engineering and Constuction Co Ltd. Many thanks.

Can't make a recommendation as to which company......but having just moved into our new house I can tell you, you must site manage it yourself.......you will have to commit to be there all day, everyday if you want a half decent job.

 

I reckon I have two to three weeks work in front of me just to address cosmetics.

Not to hard to get people to build the house as you require.

(  just done one in the last year )

The problems are when it comes to electric and plumbing insulation.

They are not skilled tradesman used for this,

( the real ones work for the big companies on commercial jobs. )

So you are left with Somchali and his merry band of liars and bodgers.

and they will not care at all. so watch them and try your upmost to get them to do what you wanted.

Ps Having a company do the job makes no difference to what i have said above. Been there got the t-shirt, and 101 things to fix now,

I won't even let the electrician back in the house.

The best way is to go out with each builder and let them show you homes they have built - this is common practice. 

 

I have also heard people say this... a friend said if you know where everything is, it will be easier to correct problems in the future..

Yes true , we took photos on most nights of progress.  well so called progress.  

Sorry not true about homes built before they will show you a family home. or a friends home,

The deception,  is strong in Thailand.

But you may meet an honest one. .

That makes it even mor important to be there every day, 

 

our house was designed by the in house architect of our builder, we supervised/attended every day, we or the architect or manager caught virtually every mistake before it could be built into the house. There are few changes we would make, no significant mess ups.
