Infrastructure Company and clarification on what was holding the project back. According to the chairman, Pattaya City and the Electric Generating Authorities of Thailand (EGAT) had made good progress in removing wires underground prior to the Walking Street resurfacing project. Do they mean "removing". Or is it removing them from above ground to bury them?
jacko45k
I think January 5th, in time for Chinese New Year, is more likely! Good start for this new Mayor and all his campaign promises! Edited June 16, 2022 by jacko45k

ezzra
Thai productivity at its best, like they had more than 2 years to get it done when the street was deserted, but no, if they had done it that it wouldn't have been Thailand...

Andycoops
No doubt like the emergency decree it will be extended again and again. So much for the new (old) regime of Muppets in city hall.

jcmj
They usually only delay it a month at a time, so get ready to see this statement for a few more months to come. Took them this long to get to a supposedly 30% complete mark.
newnative
All this time and they aren't even 30% finished??? Pathetic. Meanwhile, how about all the other super-slow road work? Week after week, month after month, the giant holes still look like giant holes with no visible progress.
