NoshowJones
I want to book a flight back to Bangkok from Scotland, and have never booked online before and understand Sky Scanner is one of the best. Their head office is in Edinburgh. Does anyone know if these online flight companies will accept bookings at their office?
Popular Post hotandsticky
I don't know, but I would doubt it as Skyscanner are a travel fare aggregator website and travel metasearch engine. https://dpogroup.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-skyscanner/
ozfarang
When you have found the flight you like click "Select" and if Skyscanner is in the list of fares available you can book your flight through Skyscanner or any of the other fares available in the list. I have in the past and had no problems.
Popular Post david555
Why not book straight by an airline direct ....gives you more protection incase to solve a cancellation for money return .....as things go now in the international airport problems World Edited June 18, 2022 by david555

I've sent you a private message Sky scanner is fine for finding the route but i would always pay an extra 30-40 GBP and buy direct rom Airline Edited June 18, 2022 by bolt
DaRoadrunner
I use Skyscanner online and found it reliable. Once I was able to buy a ticket direct from the airline cheaper, though this is unusual.
Popular Post Willy Wombat
Just do a google flight search. Choose the flights and fare that you like. It then will give you a list of places where you can book with. Personally i always book with the the airlines official website for peace of mind. 3

Robin
There are companies that offer face to face flight bookings and ticket purchase. Flight Bookers used to be one. or you might find a travel agent. Most likely you will pay more as on-line booking has less overheads. "Time Out" magazine used to be the place to look for cheap icket and trrael agents. I suspect that now most people use Expedia or Kayak, where the best deals are to be found. Like most things, you get what you pay for.

Is that actually a thing anymore? I thought tickets, airline offices and real people disappeared a long time ago. I will check with websites like Skyscanner but I will make the booking directly with the airline website.
Etaoin Shrdlu
Skyscanner and similar aggregators will charge a fee on top of any re-booking fees or higher fares charged by the airlines if you need to make changes to your flights. I prefer to book directly with the airlines. 1
KhunBENQ
Booking online and paying "personally" at "their office"? 5 hours ago, possum1931 said: Their head office is in Edinburgh. Sorry but you have a long way to go until doing an online booking. Online booking is at >your desk< and usually requires some credit/debit card. (other non cash payment forms maybe available depending on country) Best look for a good old travel agency in your area.
