"Holy Father" latest: Says he's suing Dr Fish, the governor and health services - disciple supports him too

Thai Rath went to the hermitage in Phu Kradung, Loei, where the so called Holy Father or Phra Bida is holed up with about 30 disciples.

Thawee Nanra, 75 - the bare -chested mystic at the center of claims his food products contained bodily secretions and he was keeping corpses - was raided recently by a social activist called Mor Pla (Dr Fish) and the Chaiyaphum governor Kraisorn Kongchalat and health services at a retreat in Kon San, Chaiyaphum.

He then moved onto Loei.

Reporters found the way to the "Rai Yoo Yen Pen Suk" (Peaceful and Happy place) barred by a barrier but they were permitted entry. There were ten pick-ups and cars parked there.

The disciples were in a house and the Holy Father was in a chair more than willing to give an interview.

He confirmed previous reports that he was suing Mor Pla for trespass and defamation and the Chaiyaphum governor for trespass. He said they didn't have a warrant to search his place.

He is also suing the Chaiyaphum health department for suggesting that his food products contained feces.

"Yes, it's true that I will be taking them to court," intoned the holy one. "Their "live" filmed intrusion caused me considerable damage and the governor was over the top.

"And I deny there was feces in the food. I got the products from elsewhere and it's just victimization. They tested out of date stock and no one wants it now and it's all gone rotten anyway".

Disciple Wilaiwan, 46, came up with an even more outlandish story as she supported her mentor.

She said she was suing Mor Pla herself for suggesting that her one month old infant died from ingesting the holy father's feces and urine.

She said the truth of the matter was that the infant died from a blood disorder at Chaiyaphum Hospital. She requested taking the infant's body to the retreat after she claimed to have had a dream in which the child asked to be taken there.

She claimed that the Holy Father speaks nothing but the truth and has caused no trouble to anyone.

Least of all her - he has helped her get money, she suggested.

in previous stories reported by ASEAN NOW the governor has smirked at suggestions he will be sued saying: "Go ahead - I consider my actions to be a badge of honor".

I thought we lived in more or less civilised country , not in middle of the bushes somewhere in in Africa where they have sjamans and local wizards... Why do people believe in this kind of non-sense

and he was keeping corpses

11 bodies were found there but it seems the least of his worries.......

regards worgeordie

He's not the only so called "Holy Man" in Thailand.  I knew of several when I lived there back in the early 2000's. All of whom were a little on the edgy side.
