The Thai Meteorological Department reported the daily weather forecast on Wednesday, June 22nd, with thundershowers in the whole country and possible isolated heavy rains and gusty winds in most parts of Thailand.

A southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand whereas a low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam, resulting in thundershowers that are likely to occur in the whole country. In the Northern part, scattered thundershowers are predicted mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun with a minimum temperature of 24-26°C and a maximum temperature of 33-37 °C. Southwesterly winds are expected at 5-15 km/hr.

In the Northeastern part, Scattered thundershowers and isolated gusty winds are expected mostly in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Saket, and Ubon Ratchathani with a minimum temperature of 24-26 °C and a maximum temperature of 34-36 °C. Not one forecast by this crowd has been accurate this season here in CM city. I watch progress on my storm tracker app and without exception the storm gets to within 20 Kms and then disappears, especially if coming from the Samoeng side. There has not been one significant downpour for over a month!

Totally wet in MaeJo this month, rain nearly every day ........... that's only 10Km from CM moat.

The Ping River remains a ditch filled with stagnant water. It moved four days, maybe five, after the big week long rains a month back. Reservoirs & Dams remain closed.  We see clouds, streaming rain, many afternoons. Occasionally they drop water on us, mostly they miss. Dry here 4 Km's from the moat.
