I’m in favour of equitable taxation, the repeal of tax loopholes, the ending of offshore tax havens and the ending trusts as a means of tax evasion.

Yes, along with all the Ex-pats with their 800 000 Baht sitting in their Thai bank account and any money they earn in Thailand , needs to be subjected to U.K taxes .

   Its only fair

You don’t think it is relevant who votes in the next pm?

This is the way it is done in the UK in the event of the PM resigning.

We're not the USA.

We don't vote for a President - we elect a party based on the number of MP's that win their seats. In the event of the PM resigning the party in power retains power (since we didn't vote for Boris as President) and the members of that party choose a new leader. It's a great system. Maybe you guys could convert?

Duh! I know how it’s done.

I am questioning the idea that it is not relevant who votes in the next pm, not the process.

Do try to keep up.

Erm?

I’m sure that makes sense to you.

Who voted to be poorer?

Whether its the other Ministers who cast a vote or whether is Conservative party members who cast the vote , its irrelevant to my point that a vote is cast .

My point is that they are democratically voted for . The people who are eligible to participate in those votes are irrelevant to my point

Of course it's relevant.

That's why we put such a great system in place.

I disagree. I think it is highly relevant who votes in the new pm.

Let’s hope it’s truss….

If you agree why are you questioning the post I made making the same point?

I don't believe that was an option on the ballot paper. Same as there was no option for Wearing 2 left shoes or illegally drinking Mojito's on the train.

So the answer to all 3 options is Nobody.

I see poverty in the UK face to face many times every week.

Your snide trolling remark is unwarranted, but absolutely expected.

Just to reiterate how great our system is.

Go Truss!

The fact is poverty has increased dramatically, it’s a major point of discussion here in the UK.

I see poverty all the time here in Thailand as well. Many people lost their businesses due to Covid.

I don't believe there was a Thexit? Or did I miss it?

Indeed, and around the world. Covid and the war in Ukraine have been terrible for economies everywhere.

But the UK has the self harm of the Tory hard Brexit.

Hence the highest inflation in the G7, collapsing investment and consumer confidence.

Shall we pretend it’s not happing?!

Nonetheless it is correct.

Now, care to get back on topic?

Truss or Sunak, they are offering diametrically opposed policies.

The respective votes tell you how many Tories won’t be happy with the outcome.

Minus the 4000 Tories who haven’t yet grasped why Johnson isn’t on the ballot.

Ha ha , false equivalence .

G7 members include non E.U Countries such as Japan, USA and Canada .

You compared the U.Ks inflation rate to non E.U Countries to suggest that Brexit is the reason for the U.Ks high inflation rate and they are faring better .

If you compare the U.K's inflation rate to the rest of the E.U , you will see that the U.Ks inflation rate is lower than the E.Us

European Union's annual inflation hits record 9.6% in June

Please, lay off the Chinese government controlled ‘news sites’.

The EU zone inflation rate is not 9.6%
