Need Hotel In Rangsit Area Up To Baht 1000

It's not actually that much of a backwater. Lots going on in Rangsit, including a big shopping centre (Future Park, one of Asia's largest malls), universities, institutes etc. It's not too far from the old Don Muang airport, so the cluster of hotels there might be the solution. Maybe the TK Palace is what you're looking for. It's in the right price ballpark, anyway. Rangsit would be about 15 min. away by taxi. Possibly We-Train International House could meet your needs. It used to be recommended for budget travellers needing a cheap room near Don Muang Airport, but it's also not too far to Rangsit. If you're looking for longer-term accommodation, there are plenty of habitable budget apartments and studios in Rangsit and neighbouring Laksi in the 8000 baht per month price range.

More here on Future Park.

Great reply! Many thanks.

The We-Train place seems good value but is still a way south of Rangsit. Maybe I could start there and use it to check out Rangsit proper for a hotel in the town. Some apartments offer daily rates, but I'd have to rely on a taxi to guide me. I'll be staying about a week.

If you want a small place for the 2 of you you couls try Thanyaburi, known locally as Klong Hok (Canal 6). I rented a great student room there for 2,500 Baht a month with locking entrance, TV hookup and Internet (extra). There is the local minibus service to connect you to Rangsit for a very cheap price which leaves every 20 mins or so. I loved this area as there are very few farangs and a great market cheap dentists and steaks and thousands of girls (not that your G/F would like!!!). if you want Farangs then you'll find them at Future Park.

taxi from here to Suvanibhum is about 300 Baht on the Meter including the tolls on the Motorway.

In the end We-Train International was full but they referred me to the Don Muang Mansion (B600 up) near the main market in Don Muang town. It was old, dirty and provoked my dust allergy terribly. Have now moved on the Boss Hotel, next to Rangsit railway station, at B700. Big improvement. Clean and newer. 02-958-1703/5. Have to run the gauntlet of late-night hookers on the way to the Internet cafe on the Pathum Thani road though :-(.

Future Park Mall is great. B35 taxi or B15 motorcycle taxi.

BS apartment has been my sole accommodation in rangsit (Is it spelled rangsit or rungsit?). I was pleasantly surprised when my friend took me there. Great facilities. Real convenient location.

In case this is useful for someone in the future, I looked online just now and found their site here: www.bsapartment.com

Do not judge the book by its covers. From the outside, since it's a serviced apartment, it looks nothing like a luxury hotel (which usually charges thousands of baht) But, the rooms inside are clean and capacious. The most comfortable serviced apartment I've had.

With a big TV set, True cable TV package, fridge, etc.... it's well worth the money.

This serviced apartment is next to Zeer Rungsit and Asia Airport Hotel.

Airport Hotel at Zeer, Rangsit.

Zeer is a big IT Mall, the hotel is connected to it. Sorry, can't give you prices.

Sorry, just seen the date of the OP.
