77kaoded Thai Caption: 11 injured as bus slips off road

77kaoded reported on an accident in which 11 passengers including the conductress were injured when a #134 Bangkok bus from Mo Chit to Bang Bua Thong left the road at a bend in Bang Yai, Nonthaburi.

The driver Athit, 50, claimed that the door next to his seat suddenly swung open in a rain storm and as he tried to grab and close it he lost control and veered off the road.

He was breathalysed but had no alcohol in his system.

Manually open and closing doors.

That's would be difficult under any circumstances.  These old busses have got to be replaced.

Good thing nobody was killed.

Since it was his door, I suspect he was the person who failed to close it properly.... they are certainly designed to not fly open at random.

Considering there was a "conductress" on the bus, would it have been that hard to tell her to shut the door?

Here we go again,

If it's not the slippery road or brake failsure or any other's fault....

This time it's the wind.

Thais are really very good in inventing stories or excuses????.

(Not really)
