BANGKOK (NNT) - The National Strategy Committee has approved 1,026 projects that cater to the national strategic goals as the national strategic development plan enters the second phase.

Presiding over the committee’s meeting today, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said the National Strategy Committee had laid out a national strategic guideline in keeping with global developments.

He asked the government, general public, and private sector to cooperate in the implementation of national strategies toward concrete outcomes within a set time frame.

The Prime Minister said the materialization of national strategies has entered the second phase, with the current focus being to ensure sufficient income among the general public, while the third phase will focus on the elimination of poverty.

1,026 projects have been approved and will be carried out in the fiscal year 2024.

The committee also approved the draft 2023-2037 amendment for the national strategic master plan, which provides better clarity and coverage for individual goals; together with the national development guideline, and the guideline for the materialization and evaluation of the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan.

Ah those useless  projects, got  one down the road from me, thrown money at it  they have, going to give free  trees  to the locals to plant......all I see is a  load of dead  stumps, grass 3  foot  high a  shiny  new unused  building, a  caretaker /daytime sleeper...........been like that for  over 3  years  now. Wife  went down to ask about when they were  opening............soon....3  years  now..she ended  up  buying trees  to plant herself form a REAL nursery.

Now it  slowly declines  daily, give it a  few  years  it  will all be abandoned.

1026 extra projects to ensure what exactly ? those in charge and those responsible for keeping those in charge have another 1026 ways to ensure money is pilfered from the public coffers into their overseas bank accounts ?

Several years ago, I lived in a village where the residents were supplied with young trees and stakes, for planting along the side of the village roads in order to enhance the village's beauty.

This they duly did under the supervision of the village headman, but the problem was that they then subsequently "cut" the long grass next to the trees by burning it.  Unfortunately, the trees were burnt along with the grass, so the whole procedure (and the expense) was repeated the following year and for several years afterwards.

I like to think of it as a successful project ensuring a steady supply of charcoal for the villagers......

That's next level cryptic BS.

Looks like Prayut is having an identity crisis and thinks he is Klaus Schwab.

Third phase should be reducing inequalities.

Right now 10% of the population owns 90% of the wealth.

Eliminating poverty doesn't mean anything really.

Better clarity... yeah that would be nice.

Darn, that's a good one to rival the Pattaya Beach reclamation and sand replacement project... great little earner!
