The operation took place in the Nong Pla Lai subdistrict today, September 13th, under the command of Mayor Pinyo Homklan in preparation for more rainfall that is forecasted to hit Chonburi many days from now. As a temporary solution, the mayor stated that he has assembled a team of city workers to monitor the flooding around the clock in order to respond to a flood report in a timely manner. At the same time, he directed his subordinates to clean the clogged sewers surrounding the sub-district in order to improve drainage. The question should be if no more heavy rain was forecast would they even think about cleaning the Storm Drains/ Other drains at all. ?
