Tank truck overturns and spills oil on road in Chonburi

A tank truck overturned and spilled more than 10,000 litres of oil on the road in Chonburi.

 

Mueang Chonburi police on Monday responded to a traffic accident on Sukhumvit Road leading to Bangkok in the Nong Mai Daeng subdistrict of Mueang district, Chonburi, at 4:30 P.M.

 

A large tank truck was found overturned on the road with a ruptured oil tank, which was spilling oil and obstructing traffic for over 10 kilometers. The driver, Amnuay Kongsak (37), sustained minor injuries and was transferred to Chonburi Hospital.

The 30/1202 hazard plate identifies the load as Diesel fuel, gas oil or heating oil.
