haha ????

Perhaps the bank teller (many banks) believes that the customer must take an appraoch of always making the tellers' job easy.

Step 1: could be (from customer) "I apologize for coming into the bank today and making you do some work, would you please forgive me?" (As the customer wais and bowes continuously.)

Seen this attitude from bank tellers at Thai banks several times.

“The Un-fire-ables”.   How long would such a plonker last in the USA or UK???

I have found the attitude and rudeness of some bank employees here in Thailand to be down right horrible.

The actual bank office buildings are usually elevated to denote status here. Their employees sit with their feet well above head height.

That attitude certainly works its way down.

The ease at which people staple things in Thailand, even passports, is pretty maddening.

And tape. Why do they have to use tape on everything?

…at the end of the day  they are just counter clerks

And many of them no better educated or qualified than the cashier who works at the 7-11 next door.

She has been transferred to the customer complaints counter.

Is that equivalent to an inactive post as applied to government employees....
