Muslim World League officials to visit Chiang Mai

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League is traveling to Chiang Mai province as part of his official visit to Thailand.

The Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai province Thongchai Wongreanthong (ธงชัย วงษ์เหรียญทอง) revealed that the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, H.E. Abdullah Bin Abdul Mohsin Ai-Turki, and delegates are currently on an official visit to Thailand by invitation from the Royal Thai Government from June 24-30. Mr. Abdullah is scheduled to visit Chiang Mai province from June 28-30 in order to observe check dam projects aimed at rejuvenating water basin areas, self sufficiency fungi farms, and self sufficiency agricultural association projects under the patronage of His Majesty the King.

Mr. Abdullah will also meet with local religious leader, members of the Ban Tor (บ้านท่อ) Islamic Mosque Committee, and teachers and students of the Chitpakdee (จิตภักดี School.

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League also looks forward to viewing wood carvings and handicrafts of Ban Tawai (บ้านถวาย) in Hang Dong (หางดง) district of Chiang Mai province.
