This was great news to wake up to in Loei this morning. I'll try and get an interview with Mink when she gets back to Bangkok. So proud of all the successes of Thai snooker players, men and women.

But she is a tremendous player - she won a professional match on the Men's Tour last month against a player ranked 70 or so. She could be a real force in snooker for the next decade, if things go well.

Yes, she beat Mitchell Mann 4 - 2 in The Northern Ireland Open Qualifiers. She'll face either Ricky Walden (seeded 16) or Ziao Guodong in the best of 7 last 64 in Belfast.

Thai female world snooker champion Nutcharut "Mink" Wongharuthai added the world mixed doubles title earlier today when she won in Milton Keynes, England, with Australian Neil Robertson.

She seems to be continuing her winning streak.. hope this year and next shows she is still learning and growing with experience.

These wins will boost her confidence no end.

Snooker isn't played in the US in too many places, but in the little, rural, Indiana town I grew up in, there was one "pool hall," and it had three snooker tables and only one pool table. The owner was an old guy and a former Brit. Anyway, those of us who wanted to play usually ended up playing snooker and only played on the pool table while waiting for a snooker table to open up.

I enjoy the game very much... ????
