Thai Foreign Minister Says World Leaders Can Resolve Ukrainian Crisis at Meetings

 

NEW YORK (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai has said all parties to the conflict in Ukraine can convene in Southeast Asia in November during three major international events to jointly resolve the crisis in Ukraine.

24 tonnes of pork smuggled from Brazil destroyed to prevent spread of swine flu in Thailand

The Livestock Development Department buried about 24 tonnes of frozen pork, which originated in Brazil and was smuggled into Thailand from a neighboring country, at a landfill in Phayuha Khiri district of Nakhon Sawan province.

People living along Mun River in Ubon Ratchathani advised to prepare for evacuation

The rising level of the Mun River, in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Ubon Ratchathani following heavy rain last night, has forced provincial officials to replace their preventive plans with those for evacuation, in anticipation of more heavy rain when Tropical Storm Noru hits the province tonight.

Tropical storm Noru to hit north-eastern region at 10pm Wednesday

Tropical storm Noru is expected to arrive over Thailand’s north-eastern provinces of Ubon Ratchathani and Amnat Charoen at about 10pm tonight (Wednesday), bringing heavy rain to 14 provinces, according to an updated weather report from the Thai Meteorological Department.

Three flights bound for Ubon Ratchathani turned back to BKK due to poor weather

Three domestic flights from Bangkok to the north-eastern province of Ubon Ratchathani this morning (Wednesday) were forced to turn back, after the pilots were unable to land due to poor weather conditions caused by approaching tropical storm Noru.
