Police chief confirms no traces of drug found in gunman

An initial autopsy found no traces of drug in the body of the ex-policeman who went on a shooting spree that killed at least 38 people in the northeastern province of Nong Bua Lam Phu on Thursday, according to the national police chief.

Police Gun Control to Be Tightened after Massacre

BANGKOK, Oct 7 (TNA) – The national police chief said he will discuss with the Interior Ministry control on police’s firearms after the massacre by a former policeman and the police would work out its own measures related to the weapons of present and former police.

Water experts’ meeting endorses BMA’s urgent water drainage system for eastern Bangkok

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) urgent project to improve drainage and to build a concrete flood wall from Nong Bon Canal to Makham Thet Canal, to link with Prawet Burirom Canal, has been approved at a meeting of the water resource management subcommittee, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan.

135 tonnes of smuggled frozen pork and chicken seized in Samut Sakhon

Thai customs and livestock development officials, as well as police from the Consumer Protection Division, seized about 100 tonnes of frozen pork, worth about 21 million baht, and 35 tonnes of frozen chicken legs, worth another 700,000 baht, in a raid today (Friday) on a cold storage facility in Muang district of Samut Sakhon province.

Interior Min to review gun owners’ qualifications in response to Nong Bua Lamphu shooting

World community expresses condolences over Nong Bua Lamphu mass shooting

BANGKOK (NNT) - The international community has expressed its deep condolences to families who lost loved ones in yesterday’s (6 October) mass shooting in Nong Bua Lamphu. Foreign leaders also condemned the shooting which killed 38 people, most of whom were children. The international community expressed its support for Thailand as the country mourns the tragedy.
