Community Drug Control Seminar at Pattaya

The Mayor of Pattaya, Mr. Niran Wattasartsathorn, chaired a meeting of leaders from each of Pattaya’s 27 communities to discuss narcotic problems around the City. The meeting was held at Pattaya City Hall yesterday morning (Jun 25).

The Mayor announced that a budget of 5,500 baht per community has been allocated to look into this worrying issue which the Mayor would like to be controlled by the community leaders before any official action is taken by the Police.

The village leaders will now work on producing stats for the Mayor who will then convene a further meeting and allocate further budgets to those communities who are experiencing acute drug problems.
