Palang Pracharath Admits Man Likely Linked To Illegal Nightclub Donated Cash

JUSTICE Minister Somsak Thepsuthin admitted today (Oct. 27) that a man rumoured to possibly be linked to an illegal nightclub in Yanawa district raided by police yesterday had donated 3 million baht to Palang Pracharath Party last year, Thai Post newspaper said.

 

Somsak, who is the head of the Palang Pracharath strategic campaign team, said it was true that Mr. Chainat Kornchayanan, who according to rumours could be linked to the illegal nightclub raided by police yesterday, made the donation but explained that the party was unable to investigate the details of every donor.

 

Palang Prachat verifies if the donations are in accordance with the Election Commission’s regulations and in this case it was so, he said, adding that further details about the donors is for government officials to check.

Chinese businessman linked to pub raid is donor of Palang Pracharath

 

 

More than 200 Chinese clients were found in the pub in Yannawa raided by police on Tuesday.

A Chinese businessman linked to a pub in Yannawa district of Bangkok raided by police on Tuesday night is listed as a donor of the ruling Palang Pracharath Party, Justice Minister Somsak Thepsuthin admitted on Thursday.

 

Somsak, the chief strategist of Palang Pracharath, said the businessman, Chaiyanat Kornchayanant, donated as much as three million baht to the party last year.

 

“His donation was made in accordance with the law,” he said but admitted that the party did not do background checks of its donors.

 

“But I can assure you that there is no political favour in return,” he said of the donation by Chaiyanat.

A reason for the elcetion commitee to dissolve the party and ban for 10 years??? How much was the donation in total?? They did with other parties too... Oh sorry I forgot.. the ruling party is always above all laws

How could the Palang Pracharath party offer political favours to any donor? Only the ruling Generals in power can do that!

Has any one ever investigated the sources of the funds that support the ruling party? Has anyone ever investigated the army budget? Or would that somehow be illegal to engage in investigative journalism against them? 

 

Any else suspect why these stories are always surfacing about only the opposition parties?
