Chuwit praises top cops for action he instigated against "Chinese Mafia"

Former MP and soapy massage owner Chuwit Kamolwist went on Facebook to praise the Thai police.

 

He said it was something that he rarely did.

 

He had presented a dossier to the RTP concerning five Chinese who he claimed were breaking the law owning nightclubs where there was illegal activity.

 

Subject of his praise were RTP deputies Pol Gen Torsak Sukhwimon and Pol Gen Surachate Hakpan who arrested the men, reported Siam Rath.

 

There were many raids in Thailand, Pattaya and elswehere this week acting on information supplied by Chuwit.

Mr Chuwit is treading a dangerous path.

I do understand that he has upset people in the past but if these are really Chinese Mafia, he will need to up his security detail.

The irony being that Chuwit had to do the RTP's work and then hand it to the RTP in such a way that the RTP couldn't kill the investigation. The Chinese were very likely operating under police  protection until Chuwit made it a public affair.

Think the police should employ him and sack about 1,000 officers whose job it is to find these things rather than take bribes from them

And military protection. I can see the Chinese "family" near us have had soldiers walking around their property for the last week.
