TECH Crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried blames himself for FTX’s collapse, admits he ‘f---ed up’

FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried tweeted Thursday morning that he is “sorry,” admitting that he “f---ed up” and “should have done better.” Bankman-Fried also announced that he is winding down Alameda Research, the trading firm he co-founded alongside FTX.

 

The post comes as the onetime hero of the crypto sector begs for billions of dollars to stave off bankruptcy. It’s been a swift fall from grace for FTX this week. Earlier this year, the exchange was valued at $32 billion, but now Bankman-Fried is again looking for someone to backstop FTX after rival exchange Binance pulled out of a deal to acquire it.

He's gone from being worth 15 billion dollars to 3 dollars according a news report [BBC or CNN, forget which] I saw this morning, no link...sorry.

 

Whether true or not there are going to be a lot of sports franchises and players [Basketball - Miami heat will need a new stadium name-, NFL-including Tom Brady- and F1 for a start] looking for new sponsors now.

It is a conspiracy theory that some mysterious Japanese mystical man hidden in the forest with his magical wood sticky created Bitcoin. Serious, more like some Israelis of the Unite 8100 just testing the new tech for the digital currency.
