Popular Post OneMoreFarang
Win/win He will bring up lots of dirt about anybody who will dare to run against him in the primaries. The DEMs will be happy that Trump brings up the dirt and they don't have to do that. And if Donald runs for president, he won't have enough support from within the GOP and he won't win. And if he loses in the primaries, I am sure lots of his supporters will hate the then GOP candidate. Whatever happens is a win for the DEMs. And whatever happens is lose for the GOP. Summary Win/win for the rest of the world. 7

Lacessit
I am wondering when Merrick Garland will drop the other shoe. I suppose leading America from a jail cell is preferable to him doing it from a golf course, less expensive for US taxpayers.

Hanaguma
The thing is, Trump never had any real loyalty to the GOP. He was a Democratic supporter for years- essential if you do business in New York. So he doesn't care if he causes the party damage. He cares about his personal brand most of all. As I said before, he was a good president but is a terrible former president.

It was only a few days ago his own lawyers were sanctioned for this. A federal judge on Thursday excoriated and sanctioned several members of Donald Trump’s legal team, saying the former president’s massive lawsuit against his former rival, Hillary Clinton, and dozens of other adversaries amounted to an intentional abuse of the legal system. “These were political grievances masquerading as legal claims,” said U.S. District Court Judge Donald Middlebrooks, a Florida-based jurist who dismissed Trump’s lawsuit in September. “This cannot be attributed to incompetent lawyering. It was a deliberate use of the judicial system to pursue a political agenda.” https://www.politico.com/news/2022/11/10/trump-lawyers-clinton-lawsuit-00066381

He is likely to win the primary but will be the worst possible candidate to win a national election. The Republican Party is being held hostage by Trump and his base. DeSantis doesn't stand a chance against Trump in the primary. I am sure you know it. The party leaders and their donors can only watch with trepidation that it will be another lost 2024 election. What a curse Trump has brought to the party.
