Buddhist image weighing 200 kilos stolen from outside chapel at Kanchanaburi temple

Tha Muang police in Kanchanaburi, western Thailand, were called after a 50 year old Buddhist Image weighing 200 kilos was stolen from a temple in the night.

 

The Sothorn image was in pride of place at the temple of Wat Pho Sri Sukharam in Tha Muang district.

Phra Amnuay, an assistant to the abbot said that the image was still in place as monks were attending to their evening duties at the temple.

At 1 am the temple dogs started barking but no one got up from their slumbers.

 

The thieves had clearly removed the image in the night.

Local police are studying CCTV in the temple and its vicinity in an effort to track down the thieves that the media called "sinners".

   Not proof.  Karma works in following lives also.  Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot will eventually regret what they did and pay at some point.  We don’t pay in this life?  We pay after death or in next life. It catches up with us eventually.
