Someone has sent me a referral to this company in Dubai, who are saying they can get 6% monthly profits. Anyone out there had such dealings or is it a scam please?

Of course it's a scam.

 

For an investment like that I would not consider anything less than 20% per month return.

Of course he is. Ask yourself what that give you as an APR (annual %age rate) and then find any other legal income generating investment that would get even close.........

I would have thought Dubai would be a red flag, running second to Nigeria.

Yep, that's what I got. And Google does not come up with anything.

I would have thought that an email from anywhere, offering you a 6% per month return on anything would be sufficient to make you delete the damned thing and instantly forget it. The average return on the S&P for the past 20 years is 8.9% PER YEAR, that's less than 1% per month return on blue chip equities belonging to the biggest companies on the planet. Over 5 years you might get lucky and double your money on the S&P, your email offers to do it in 18 months, what do you think!
