A contingent of troops and paramilitary rangers, from the Pha Muang Task Force, was sent to the mountainous border area in Mon Pin sub-district to intercept the smuggling operation, as part of their anti-drug campaign. cheapcanuck Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Wonder if the drugs were worth the lives? I question anything to do with the law's account. No one left alive to contradict the reported events. 2

How long have you lived here? Just 35 years ....well they weren't all eliminated some escaped back into Burma , I am sure the drugs will be handed in so the Police can get their nice reward* , if they will end up on the streets again neither of us know for sure , it's not a given , or is all that stuff they burn every so often ,sawdust and flour ? * think it's 30% of the value. regards Worgeordie

They only retrieved 1 gun and a hand grenade. Sounds like a complete massacre. 1 2

Those drug smuggling conveys are often armed and they fire back and it ends up in a shoot out with the soldiers and soldiers getting injured/killed

My first thought to, knowing who control the drugs in our village, you know somebody stepped over their territory and made someone do a massacre in own interest. Not one Policeman hurt? Well done job! 1
