Appeal to the spirits works as two year old Mali found after day long search

Siam Rath reported that 100 rescue personnel were mobilized yesterday to search for a two year old girl who went missing in the woods.

 

Huay Luang police coordinated the search after being informed by Mongkhol the phu yai ban in Ban Wang Thong, Muang district of Udon Thani.

 

With the search having gone on for hours without success two locals called Withoon and Bunjira performed a ceremony with joss-sticks to appeal to the spirits of the area to give up Mali.

She was found shortly thereafter by a local person who found her crying for her mum.

 

The locals believed that the appeal to the spirits was key in finding the little girl.

 

Mali had been left in the care of her gran when her parents went to work.

She was playing on the phone and didn't notice that Mali who had been playing with a dog had gone missing.

 

She raised the alarm but relatives were unable to locate the missing girl sparking the wider hunt.

 

Until the intervention of the spirits....

I for one, am deeply disturbed to not see any water bottles, or food, being given to this young child.

Maybe it was the spirits or just luck.  The child was found safe.  That’s all that matters
