Popular Post Berkshire
Musk's behavior is taking a toll on the Tesla brand. Tesla owners don't want to be associated with a right wing nutter. Fact is, most Tesla buyers are tree-hugging liberals. Thought Musk would know that.... [It's not just Tesla investors who are at their wit's end with CEO Elon Musk, who has been making a huge mess of his Twitter takeover.] [Even the company's customers are becoming wary of association with the embattled billionaire, as CNET reports, by opting for a competitor or canceling their orders.] ["His personality is absolutely tanking the Tesla brand," a biotech exec whose Model S lease is almost up told CNET. "I'm looking forward to having an Elon-free existence."] https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/people-are-canceling-tesla-orders-because-they-re-so-disgusted-with-elon-musk/ar-AA15vkob?ocid=wispr&cvid=823155b68a6349c88046b04dff512d6d

Tesla is a publicly owned corporation. It couldn't fund musk's private company.

Which ironically enough actually wants to implant chips in humans. Maybe he's "innovative" about lining up lots of baby-mamas (usually female employees at one of his "companies") to have his twins and triplets? Twitter is based on GSM/SMS technology which is hardly "innovative"? Those Twitter Files (Trust No One) were a bust. Still waiting for Matt Taibbi's "Part 2" due "tomorrow". Mudk didn't invent Twitter, he bought it. Why he ever wanted it in the first place is the ???? ???? crazy part. Not here to defend Musk, but Tesla is a helluva vehicle snd success. SpaceX is out of this world successful. Starlink is doing well. Neuralink and Boring are still in the works. Not (yet anyway) failures at all, but rather potential Hi-Tech of the future. Every inventor has their failures, but Musk has more hits than misses, including becoming the 2nd wealthiest person on Earth because of his success. Not too shabby. There's no doubt that Musk has an extremely formidable intellect. But not in all areas. Clearly when it comes to human relations, he's got a lot of deficits. And in a social media company, if you haven't got that, then at least you should have enough sense to keep out of the fray. But thanks to the Dunning-Kruger effect, Musk seems to be incapable of appreciating that.

I guess my point is, what is so innovative about musk's purchase of Twitter? Nothing. 3 hours ago, Skeptic7 said: but Tesla is a helluva vehicle snd success Meh x2 on both the "vehicle" and the "success". 3 hours ago, Skeptic7 said: including becoming the 2nd wealthiest person on Earth because of his success. Not too shabby. You're conflating wealth and success with "innovativeness". Fail. Yes, he's rich. I was questioning how "innovative" he really is or was. Siri, How many patents does Elon Musk have? A very quick search shows that Musk has three utility patents (i.e. actual inventions)
ozimoron
Time to Close Down the Elon Musk Circus The press has been falling for the Twitter owner’s antics for too long. Musk’s barrel-riding talents have been on conspicuous view since he bid for Twitter earlier this year, and especially so since he bought it last month. But he’s always been a champ at calling attention to himself, concocting promises and predictions about making his Tesla cars capable of self-driving, about an imminent manned landing on Mars by his SpaceX company, about the humanoid robots he’s allegedly building, and many other similarly unfulfilled pledges. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/12/21/elon-musk-twitter-press-00074881
placeholder
Maybe instead of looking for someone to replace himself at Twitter, he should be looking for a new Tesla CEO. Tesla shares tumble, on track for worst month ever Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) shares are on track for their worst month ever as a sell-off deepened on Thursday over worries about softening demand for electric cars and Chief Executive Elon Musk's distraction with Twitter. The stock dropped almost 10% on Thursday to their lowest level since September 2020 after the automaker's website showed it was offering $7,500 discounts on Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles delivered in the United States this month. Tesla's stock has tumbled 36% so far in December, putting it on track for its worst ever monthly performance. By comparison, Tesla's shares dropped 22% in March 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic tipped financial markets into a tailspin. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-shares-tumble-track-worst-month-ever-2022-12-22/
Popular Post Bkk Brian
Elon Musk’s Campaign to Win Back Twitter Advertisers Isn’t Going Well Some ad buyers said they will need to see changes at Twitter before they feel comfortable returning. Advertisers say they are concerned about Mr. Musk’s moves as owner and CEO, including his abrupt rule-making and controversial tweets. Just as it can be hard to separate the art from the artist, many advertisers are struggling to separate Twitter from Mr. Musk. “He has made it so that advertisers can’t avoid the association. He created that vulnerability and he continues to double down on it,” said Irwin Gotlieb, a former chief executive of ad-buying giant GroupM. https://archive.ph/rdpmG#selection-295.0-319.225 https://www.wsj.com/articles/elon-musk-twitter-advertisers-exodus-11671722594
