"work Permits And I.d. Cards For Servants"

Featured Replies

It seems like the Thai government has a registration scheme for servants and other workers going on right now.

The registration period is up to the end of this month and the workers will get some kind of i.d. card, work permit and also be entitled to use the 30 baht hospital insurance program. :o

It sounds like some kind of amnesty for illegals;and,if they don't register now they won't get a second chance later. :D

A couple of servants who used to work for me years ago have contacted me and want me to guarantee their stay in the Realm..

One is a member of an ethnic minority group and used to have a temporary i.d. which has since expired.

Does anyone know any details about this scheme?

Will I have any further responsiblities later if I help them out now?

Is there anything the authorities can throw at me or ask me to pay for later? :D

It seems like they can work wherever and for whomever they want once they've gotten the document papers in order!

All good input with accurate info is appreciated. :D

Cheers.

I'm looking to help someone as well. I'll PM you if my wife gets any info.

My housekeeper (why say servant, i hate that word) has brought papers to me.

If you employ them or guarantee them then your name and address go on there work permit and id card.

Don't be fooled !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You also have to have a work permit, to show that you can legally employ them
