Thailand’s half baked entry rules on arriving Chinese tourists falls shorter than other countries

Of course the entry rules fall way shorter than many other Countries.

Thailand has been / is , so desperate to seen the Chinese arrive back that they are virtually free to walk right in.

However, a façade of " doing the right thing " has to be seen across the Globe to prevent other Nations placing restrictions upon Thai Tourism once the Chinese have alighted their modes of Transport within the Country.

Will it be enough ?

Time will tell on that one

I could envision countries placing restrictions on travelers from Thailand if the expected Chinese cause a new flurry of cases in Thailand.   It traveling  to major countries after January I would book a refundable fight.

India has already placed restriction on travellers from Thailand:

The Thai government has come out to say that it was looking to impose entry regulations on all travelers to prevent outbreaks of Covid-19 from the expected influx of tourists this year, with no specific rules for Chinese tourists

Must not interfere with the influx of revenue... sorry influx of Chinese.

Considering most people are vaccinated not really a big deal is it?

Actually there are still a lot of unvaccinated potential travelers around, at least in western countries. Around 20 % adamantly refuse to get vaccinated.
