IvorBiggun2
Omeprazol. Available over the counter. Quote What is Omeprazol used for? It's widely used to treat indigestion and heartburn, and acid reflux. It's also taken to prevent and treat stomach ulcers. Omeprazole is a type of medicine called a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Proton pumps are enzymes in the lining of your stomach that help it make acid to digest food.

Is there possibly somewhere a doctor out there who examines what is going on and treats you accordingly?
Sheryl
@DaveBart Are you constipated? If not how do you know the pain is from "trapped wind"?

If the reason is really "trapped wind" the treatment is not so much omeprazol but simethicone (eg Air-X). But if the pain is really bad the reason has to be determined (in Thailand usually by x-ray, maybe further diagnostics). So it is necessary to see a doctor. mstevens
If it is trapped gas, consider taking a couple of activated charcoal tablets which works well for trapped gas. Just make sure not to take them within 2 hours (before OR after) eating food or taking medicine. Activated charcoal is cheap, effective and widely available. So what did the doctor prescribe? Edited January 11, 2023 by IvorBiggun2

It happened tome while in Thailand. A doctor failed to diagnose it. I returned to Australia where it was diagnosed quickly with an ultrasound. Life threatening. My symptoms were constant abdominal pain, inability to fart or defecate. Inability to eat. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK534157/
Sheryl
An inaporopriate/nonsensical post has been temoved. Evidentally OP has seen a doctor. Xray shows no trapped air. If the pain continues hopefully other investigations will find the cause
