Hello,

I have not found this topic here, or it didn't appear in the search. I currently have a retirement visa based on 800K in the bank. It's very easy to get a visa this way, but it sure is a waste to not be able to invest all that money.

I hear there is an alternative: Income Verification or Money Transferred in my Thai bank account. Is anyone familiar with this process? I am a US Citizen.

Much appreciated!

The US embassy/consulate does not do income verification letters.

If you want to switch to the income method, you'll need to provide proof of 12 consecutive monthly international transfers exceeding 65K THB each month (not averaged.)

Wasn't there a combination income + deposit that qualified?

There is however not accepted at some immigration offices.
