Gentle giant is tied up and tortured as punishment for 'bad behaviour': Elephant tries in vain to break free as it is stabbed with spears in Thailand

• The elephant was tied to a tree by its legs and tusks in Surin, North East Thailand 
• Footage showed the animal charging to escape as onlookers videoed it

 

Disturbing video shows the distressed animal thrashing around in a bid to free itself as the group of screaming men stabbed and prodded it with vicious 15ft-long bamboo spears.

So let's see if the Thai anti animal cruelty laws will be inforced now. 

 

That guy was in trouble for just picking up a sea cucumber and the woman done for feeding bread to fish. 

 

Wonder what happens if some farang men did that to the elephant, compared to what will happen to these Thai men.

I was really hoping to see the elephant break free and trample a couple of those cruel ctnus.

 

Maybe in the future, the elephant WILL turn and those injured will wonder why. The answer will be simple - "Thai cruelty caused it".

Visit the elephant shows and tiger parks.  You'd be surprised at the training AND at what happens to the tigers when they've outlived their usefulness.

Cruelty to animals really makes me sick.

 

I'd love to see the elephant break free and trample these sickos into the dirt.

Elephants are very intelligent and don't forget. Some time in the future this mistreated beast will flip and stomp a mahout flat and everyone will be shocked.

Those that go to see Elephant and Tiger shows in Thailand help to keep these cruel practices going, shame on those people.
