Updates on laws
These visits were conducted when? Assume just in Sukhumvit area in Bangkok? Anyway, as far as I know, nothing has officially changed yet since the new restrictions from the health ministry haven’t been published in the gazette. So for now, I wouldn’t expect stores or shops to change the way they’re doing business. -

Crime Man, 51 Slaughtered and Dumped in Village Pond
Picture courtesy of Amarin. In a gruesome discovery, police found the body of a 51-year-old man brutally murdered and dumped in a pond behind a village in Si Wilai district, Bueng Kan Province. Shockingly, the victim’s older brother witnessed the attack but was too afraid to intervene. At around 08:00 on the morning of 25 June. Pol. Lt. Komsan Krongthung, Deputy Investigation Inspector at Si Wilai Police Station, received a report from the 191 emergency radio centre that a body had been discovered near a local water source. Rescue officials arrived at the scene, known locally as Nong Kut Khi Khieo, and discovered the lifeless body of Mr Banjong Subin, aged 51. He was found floating face-down about one metre from the edge of the pond. Upon recovery of the body, officials noted a severe, deep slash wound to his neck and visible trauma to the left side of his face. A forensic team from Bueng Kan, together with local detectives, examined the nearby rubber plantation where Mr Banjong had been living. Approximately 500 metres from the pond, bloodstains and signs of a struggle were found on a bamboo platform inside a small shelter. Two machetes were also discovered at the scene and collected as potential murder weapons. DNA samples were taken from the knives and other trace evidence at the site. Mr Mongkhon, 60, the victim’s brother, told police he had been around 100 metres away from the shelter when the incident occurred. He claimed he saw the suspect attacking his brother but was too frightened to intervene. He heard two to three thudding sounds before seeing the assailant place Mr Banjong’s limp body onto a rubber-carting trolley and wheel him away. Fearing for his own safety, Mr Mongkhon hurried back to the village to inform his wife, who then contacted police. Police say they currently have four suspects under investigation and are in the process of gathering further evidence to identify the perpetrator. The body has been transferred to Srinagarind Hospital in Khon Kaen for a post-mortem examination. The investigation is ongoing. Adapted by Asean Now from Amarin 2025-06-26 -

E-Visa and Departure Switch-Up
Hello, and thanks in advance for any assistance. If I procure an E-Visa while in one country and change my mind about my travel plans and go to another country for a week (ie get an e-visa in Cambodia to go to Thailand on July 15 with flight booked, but later switch the trip plans to go to Laos and then go to Thailand from Laos on August 1) is the e-visa produred in Cambodia still valid or do I need to get a new e-visa while in Laos? (Not that it is a big deal to get a new e-visa if I need to - just want to know if I have to) -

Missed 90 day Report & TM30 Issues
Many of us with DTVs don't bother with 90 day reports or TM30. If you leave the country every 6 months and never do an extension, there is no reason to do them.
