A well-known singer was attacked while performing on the stage of a pub in the Rangsit district of Pathum Thani Province on Saturday night.

According to the “Benz Apache” Facebook page, the unknown assailant walked onto the stage and approached singer Jirakorn Sompitak, which a guard attempted to prevent.

The assailant pushed the guard out of his way and attempted to land a punch on Jirakorn, before being subdued and taken off the stage.

There are some truly appalling singers

Very much so, and whenever "sing a song" microphones appear, it is my cue to leave!!

The usual ignorance about Thai singers as usual ????

Pleng string, can't abide it and would walk out as well, the worst Thai musical genre IMO, but he seems OK.

If it was his singing that provoked the attack the hospital ER's would be full every night with pitch defficient casualties.

Strange, isn't it. Thai is a tonal language but when it comes to singing a remarkable number of Thais are tone deaf. They are completely indifferent to it, and even appear on tv showing how bad they are. Extraordinary.
