webfact Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Picture: Thai Rath Police in the northwest province of Tak expect arrests soon in the case of the execution style murder of a Hmong family of five. It happened in Wang Chao district on farmland where ginger is grown. A mother and father were killed along with three children, one aged just months. Police said they had interviewed 20 witnesses and people associated with the case. They fear those responsible would flee so were reluctant to release more details. Thai Rath reported that Chaow, the father who was killed, had hired a couple from Myanmar to do work on the ginger plantation but they had not been paid. Police are searching for them after they fled the area. Provincial deputy commander Pol Maj-Gen Banthit Tungkhaseranee said the case was proceeding quickly. He offered four possible motives in cluding family trouble and seven unpaid migrant workers, four of whom had returned home and three who were still in Thailand. He said that an "E-ten" vehicle - a kind of simple tractor/plow - had been stolen and left by the roadside after it ran out of gas. Whoever stole it fled on foot. There is also a drugs connection or simple theft of the E-ten. He said that he expected an arrest or arrests imminently. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-02-10 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Hard to believe five people had to die for the theft of such a small uniaxle tractor with a wooden trailer going at pedestrian speed.

hotchilli Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 So it could be family trouble, unpaid workers, stolen farm vehicle or drugs... Police are on the ball as usual.
Purdey Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 The police forgot the other possible motives. They should keep a list of possible motives to fill the gap whenever a murder occurs... Murder-suicide; a mysterious third hand; a feud with neighbors; land dispute, aliens, the list goes on.
