Vietnam woman faces murder charge for trying to burn husband's lover to death

Police have detained a 23-year-old woman and her mother-in-law for alleged attempted murder after they set fire to another woman over a perceived romantic tryst.

 

On January 26, social media users shared a video of the incident, which took place in broad daylight on a street in Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province.

 

In the video, two people attack a woman in a residential area before one of them pours gasoline over her and sets her on fire. The victim is seen burning for about 20 seconds before witnesses put out the flames.
