A GERMAN man holidaying on Koh Phangan was arrested Saturday (Feb. 11) at a resort he is staying in after having picked up a pair of sunglasses belonging to a Russian woman on Thursday (Feb. 9), Sanook.com said.

D-Day April 1 For New Vehicle Tax Rule

AS PART of the government’s effort to strictly enforce traffic rules the police together with the Land Transport Department will from April 1, 2023 not issue a tax sticker to vehicle owners who have not paid their traffic fines until they do so within 30 days, Naewna newspaper said Sunday morning (Feb. 12).

The elimination of pre-departure Covid-19 test requirements for travellers from India as well as other countries like China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Singapore, is a positive development for the Thai tourism industry and is expected to give it a much-needed boost as we move into quieter times of the year.

More than 300 hotspots have been detected in forests in Chiang Mai Province on Sunday and a member of the Anandamahidol Foundation Society has warned that air pollution in Thailand is expected to be worse this year than last.

Thai navy insists there were sufficient life jackets on ill-fated HTMS Sukhothai

The Naval Supply Department has insisted that there were 130 life jackets on board HTMS Sukhothai for the 105 crew members when it sank off Prachuap Khiri Khan province on December 18th, said Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, Admiral Choengchai Chomchoengpaet.

Energy Ministry Says Economy May See 4% Growth This Year
