The maggots don't want to solve the immigration issue. They want to do nothing and falsely blame Biden. They don't govern. They demagogue.

How can you falsely blame the POTUS for failing to secure the southern border? It's plain to see he's been incompetent in protecting our border and in many ways complicit to the Border Crisis.

Please advise what the Republican House of Representatives has done about the border.

The only real and prudent question ANYONE should be asking is what has Biden done about the worst humanitarian and national security crisis in American history that he's created except to make it happen!

False.

Assuming Trump wins NH, the question is going to be his vote totals vs 2016: are his fans turning out like before?

Some people are saying his support is softer now.

I certainly want Trump to be nominee this time around, but I'm not voting.

Maybe I don't get it, but it seems to me a woman who walks 1000 miles from Guatemala to Texas, dragging her two kids, is slightly less of a threat to US national security than, say, the Cuban Missile Crisis or al Qaeda or Russian ICBMs.

I suspect House Republicans agree with me, though they would never admit it. If they truly believed it was the worst national security crisis in US history, they probably would not have slashed the budget for Border Patrol.

Somebody else might have said this, but most House Repubs are not legislators, they're just performance artists, putting on a silly show and trying to elicit campaign contributions, so they can keep performing.

Fact Check: Did Republicans Call for Cutting 2,000 Border Patrol Agents?

"False. Republicans have not directly called for the cutting of border agents; rather, budgetary plans submitted by the conservative wing of Republican lawmakers would, according to the White House, create budget cuts that would lead to the loss of 2,000 border staff positions. However, the House Freedom Caucus, which made the proposals, dismissed the Biden administration's criticisms"

At the same time, Department of Homeland Security figures show the border force's overall budget has steadily risen since 2021 from just under $13 billion to nearly $14.5 billion in 2023.

Most fentanyl comes in through ports of entry by smugglers. The suggestion that a wall would stop it is a feeble joke.

Point is when/until Biden provides/fulfills his constitutional mandated protection requirements, including border security for America and Americans  the national security and humanitarian crisis will remain chaotic and severely compromised under Biden and his feckless largely useless admin (especially soon to be impeached DHS Mayorkas). Trump has this sorted, Biden dictatorialy EO'd the effective immigration / border control security policies implemented by the Trump admin. All Biden needed to do was finish the wall, paint it but no, he's too stupid and spiteful to do the right thing for America who he seems to hate, and the polls are are showing how voters appreciate the solid and exceptional policies and performance under Trump especially concerning border security and economy and this will get him reelected, esay, simple, obvious logic (but oh so difficult for loony left to handle and accept now. now) Just dwell on the fact that vast majority consider Trump was far more effective on border security, economy, and most all the key issues than feckless corrupt Biden (subject of ongoing impeachment inquiry).

It’s plain to see Republicans blocking funding to the border.

On a different thread you were shown why. Funny how election year brings out the need for more border patrol.

Not quite. It's the economy. The US has record low unemployment while central America has big issues.

No, it's the election. This is why GOP is needed in the WH.
