That sounds like you believe that "certain people" are some sort of low life. Dont you think that this would be a somewhat arrogant opinion ? There is as well a difference between someone visiting once or occasionally and quite a bunch that do that regularily. The OP has visited this place here 17 times so I think I have a good reason to believe that his claim might be questionable. I have been married to a Thai for more than 17 years now, and even we visit sometimes a bar for fun (although VERY occasionally).

 

Otherwise your comment has some truth in it. It could be true for certain people.

But if you have been here long enough you should know that there are situations where respectable, honest, classy people are involved. Not everybody visiting a bar is a lowlife. You made a statement, one would expect you had some hard facts behind it. 

So far, that just seems to consist of something you have read from one or two members. A drop in the ocean in comparison to the women who are there specifically to exploit the ‘tourist’.

What I say by experience travelling and living in Thailand for 20 years, many tourists exploit women who are not prostitutes, and use their trust and feelings for only receive a goodbye after end of holiday. They girls left behind after been promised a future. 

 

Cant understand that is so hard to understand they have feelings to, and do not expect or want to be used as holiday candy. I understand they are stupid and should have known better, same as every tourist who fall in love and leaving Thailand with promises the girls will wait for them, and first thing the girl do, is to pick up a new victim. 

 

More genius men here seems to understand the later scenario better, than the girls also gets scammed.

well said, however it seems the girls are slowly waking up...  I tell em all the time, as its sad to see their little wet faces dreaming a dream that never happens, they are humans too...  yeah, yeah, I am not talking about the smelly <deleted> that line up at WU bank end of everymonth to cash in the 10 x 10k BF cash and love everyone of them until they cum at the same time and the bufalo gets sick again... I regularly visit Pattaya between breaks in my work in Myanmar.  I also lived in the city for about 1 year when I was working about 12 years ago.  I never felt the slightest interest to visit a gogo bar or pick up a hooker.  What I did enjoy were the low rental prices for condos,  the beach road promenade for jogging, the large selection of shops, the shopping centres, people-watching by the beach and the nice coconuts served by the friendly beach-chair vendors.

 

It's not compulsory to visit expensive gogo bars or rent ugly hookers you know ????

You are falling for sob stories. My experience is even longer than yours and I have a fair bit of experience with girls as friends. I wouldn’t even consider hooking up with the kind of women to whom you refer. As a friend, I got a lot more information than a potential prospect….

We just have to agree to disagree, no problem. 

 

Im not going to waste my time on someone who do not see the difference in the power balance between women and your self in your home country who most likely is independent and their future is not based on having a economic strong husband (western I suppose?) And a woman from Thailand who most likely make less than you spend in one or two days at holiday, than here make in a month.

 

A woman's who's reputation and face will fade the more men she goes out with, as well her self respect fading away.

 

Anyway, culture, psychology and where we was 50 - 70 years ago, is long gone and forgotten, and that surprised me thinking of the average age in here.

 

To be true, I have never met so many deleted people and egoistic people in my life with no emphasis or respect for other people as I have in Thailand, and who openly brag about.
