Kanchanaburi – A German tourist and a driver died after their SUV collided with a minivan in Kanchanaburi, in the west of Thailand.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 5:07 P.M. on Sunday (February 26th) on the Sai Yok – Thong Papoom Road (No. 323) in the Ta Sao sub-district, Sai Yok district.

They arrived at the scene to find the damaged minivan on the road side and the damaged SUV still on the road. The SUV driver, Mr. Chanchai Buakajorn, had sustained various non-life-threatening injuries and the minivan driver, Mr. Prasit Boonyiem, was sadly found deceased inside the minivan.

The SUV driver, Chanchai, told the Saiyok Police that he fell asleep at the wheel before crashing with the minivan in the opposite lane.

20 years for manslaughter should be the outcome
