What's the difference between Visa T and Visa E apart from the cost? They're both single entry, valid within 3 months for a stay of up to 30 days, and the same passport, photo and credit card requirements. I take it that for a 1-week tourist visit the Visa T would be appropriate (also that a Thai passport holder requires no visa for the same purpose).

If one applies for and receives an E-type (ordinary) visa online and later gets an EOS (a 1-year ER for example) successfully.  Can he/she re-enter (without getting a new VOA)  through checkpoints which do not accept land border crossings by using evisa?

If you get the ER visa for 6 or 12 months it is multiple entries.

On the visa stuck in the passport it says

Entries MULTIPLE Issue Date.......

E visa is accepted at only some land crossings.

When you get an ER visa, it is an altogether new visa and allows multiple entries, can be used anywhere.

Sorry. Slight technical problems.

I can't see why the evisa would be an issue. It should be valid anywhere.

I didn't explain this properly. Storm hit the internet.

Sheryl to the rescue.

If I understand correctly, you need to get the evisa (no matter it is a T-type or E-type) printed out and presented it as well as your travel documents to the immigration officer when you enter the country.

My questions are:

1) Do they get the evisa printout stamped (to indicate it has been used)?

2) Do they get the entry stamp (on the passport) remarked the traveller enters by using evisa?
