Route south paralysed after 12 vehicles collide in high winds and rain

Siam Rath reported on a multiple collision that occurred on Phetchkasem Highway heading south in Muang district of Prachuap Khirikhan province at 1.30 pm yesterday.

 

It happened in Bon Ek sub-district at kilometer marker 291 +300.

The road south was completely blocked and an emergency lane needed to be opened on the inbound to Bangkok side to move traffic.

 

Despite this the media reported tailbacks of many kilometers yesterday afternoon.

The collision in high winds and rain involved 12 pick-ups, trucks and a Bangkok to Samui tour bus.

 

Three women were taken injured to hospital.

 

Much road signage and barriers were damaged in the multiple collision.

Yes indeed with storm last days and the pouring downs... accidents could not be prevented... That is easier than learn to adjust how to drive in all kind of weather conditions.. Probably they did not speed, they kept distance from each other, had good working sweepers on the on window etc etc.. Nothing to blame.. Nature did it
