Two key members of the Sam Mitr faction in the ruling Palang Pracharath Party have quit the party to join the opposition Pheu Thai Party, ending months of speculation.

Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, said yesterday (Tuesday) that Industry Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit and Justice Minister Somsak Thepsuthin, key members of the Sam Mitr faction, had informed him about their resignations.

He said that he didn’t try to stop them from leaving adding, however, that their departure will not impact the party. He also said that two well-known figures will join the party, but he declined to disclose their names.

Take as much as you can for as long as you can after buying enough votes then do it all again 5 years later ????

All this new party creation, re-branding and hopping is the "real" election being decided at a slower pace. Well that and ham-stringing any opposition.

The actualy voting by the public will be irrelevant.

Thai politics works so well without the complications and confusions caused by "Policies"..... Policies would just confuse the electorate.

You can find it on their websites and billboards.

Usually limited to one ~ three main planks, unsually involving giving something free to the public.

Prawit/UTN is spouting about "reconcilliation".

The last time any policy was promoted and implemented? BJT with Cannabis normalization.

So don't hold your breath.
