Assume he was given an Immigration "yellow card" and threatened with a "red card" before he ran.

If he was being tracked by RTP/Immigration, how did he escape?

In another thread it is suggested that every visitor to Thailand be checked for criminal records before they are allowed to enter, maybe to speed things up on arrival the RTP/Immigration use should use "mind police" to read future intensions, similar to those in the movie "Minority Report".

I wondered about that. I thought that since it mentioned his associates being under surveillance they didn't want them to spooked but since they gave details of the club that wouldn't make sense. That doesn't mean that's not the reason of course.

 

We also don't know who the accomplices are or what connections they have.

I was thinking the same thing, something fishy about this story. Are they hiding something? Who was the kingpin in the underage prostitution syndicate? A Thai citizen maybe? Just speculation, until they either bury the story or release full name of the "Swiss porn gangster".

You are right, the most important issue when doing "business" in Thailand is the brown envelope. Maybe it was delivered but with wrong amount?

I heard Brazil is friendly against rich people on the run from the law or I could be wrong.
