49-Year-Old Man Crashes into Vendor Stall and Suffers Serious Injuries

A 49-year-old Thai man suddenly rammed into a local religious vendor stall on the side of a road and sustained serious injuries.

 

The incident occurred at 02:40 AM this morning, March 23rd. Sawang Boriboon rescue workers rushed to a local stall selling Buddhist offerings in Soi Pornprapanimit in the Banglamung district of Pattaya after being notified of a seriously injured man.

 

The victim, Mr. Phothong Chaitamat, a 49-year-old native of Sakon Nakhon province, was discovered lying unconscious on the roadside. The man was bleeding heavily, so the rescuers provided him with first aid before rushing him to Banglamung Hospital.

I am surprised there is much of a market for Buddhist  amulets (that do not seem to work) at nearly 3am on Soi Siam Country Club!

Police are trying to determine the exact cause of the collision.

Maybe the bright lights of the stall dazzled him.    the 26yr old vendor who was asleep nearby got woken up by the crash, poor soul........

I think the fruit stand was there's victim here and not some outta control drunk!

What can be wrong if you install a shop at 90 cms. close the road, at 2,40 AM. with drunk drivers… Go figure! ????

Upon regaining consciousness the driver stated,  "When I came upon the stand selling offerings I wai'd, as you do.  It's the last thing I remember."
