And your home country is perfect? Has nothing of the sort?

There are 2 truths to this:

Yes, in any country there is corruption.

In developed countries it is just not out in the open but hidden behind curtains and just for the big fishes. Go to the USA or Middle Europe and look what is going on with the big big people there. There it is about billions of EUR/USD.

While in developing countries, as Thailand is one, it is just open and for everyone to see. Not that different in Eastern Europe for example.

The other truth is:

Almost everyone of the people on the forum would happily accept 3.000.000 THB cash in an envelope.

If this forum is a 1:1 mirror on the average Expat I see in Thailand, I think most of them would do it even for way less.

People are just mad that they do not have these amounts of money and are not in the position to ever do something like that, accepting 100k USD in an envelope for extortion/bribing, neither here or in their home country.

I am honest, in his position in Thailand I would have tried the same.

It was just not a smart time to do it as a middle-sized fish as he is, with all the crackdowns being done on the middle-sized fishes to ensure the public that Thailand is starting to get corruption-less, while obviously the big fishes will stay untouched forever.

Notice how many of these cases we are seeing all of a sudden, just prior to the election. As if we are being asked to believe ChaCha and the cops are sincere about fighting corruption.

8 years too late. You had ample time to demonstrate an interest in cleaning the place up. We all know who and what you are.

Yeah.  I have posted numerous times on the other articles.  All of these corruption crackdown propaganda stories will come to an abrubt halt as soon as the election results are in.

Really? So they set up the sting for fun and the corrupt judges will say it was all a misunderstanding and send him back to his office desk. Really?

I am willing to bet his creep will never see the inside of a prison cell. Probably won't even lose his job.

I like the way the Chinese deal with official corruption......death sentence and maybe reuse of organs to pay society back for his filthy corruption and useless life.

Only in Thailand could anyone offer such an explanation and expect to get away with corruption amounting to $100000. It is taking the pi$$.

Could have planned this better than to just walking out of an hotel with the bag...

Should have deposited it in the hotel safe, do you think?
