Hi,

 

Will likely be in Phuket relatively soon and looking to do a 30 day extension to a tourist visa.

 

Which tends to be faster / smoother? .... Immigration in Phuket Town or Patong?

 

What time do they stop giving out queue numbers and taking applications?

30 day extension can be done in Patong, arrive early, should be a breeze.

Patong Immigration is great.
Arrive at 8:30am and sit outside. They usually hand out with numbers and call them out at 10am when they open, so you can go have breakfast and come back at 10.
Have your paperwork in order, along with your photo and passport and 1900 baht.
The staff and volunteers there are very nice.

If Bule tree is closer , head there, usually empty

Agree, and I went there just a couple of days ago for my 90 day report and I was only one of three people in that office, so I was in and out in five minutes. Two others were doing 90 day reports and the other person, a visa extension.

From experience (ext of stay Phuket town immigration): they do not honor the appointment times. When you come in you get the same queue number as you would get without an appointment.
